Website privacy at a glance

Necessary storage remembers your privacy and explicit language choices. Analytics and marketing technologies run only after you give the matching consent, and you can change that choice from the footer.

Who controls your data

DashCam Travel is operated by Tomáš Válek. Tomáš Válek is the controller for the personal data described in this Website policy unless a listed provider acts as a separate controller under its own terms.

Use the contact address above for privacy questions or requests.

Website and cookies

The website uses a consent manager with Necessary, Analytics and Marketing categories. You can accept all, reject non-essential technologies or choose categories. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time.

Necessary
The cc_cookie cookie remembers your consent categories and timestamp for up to 182 days. The site_lang cookie remembers an explicit English or Czech language choice for up to 365 days; automatic browser-language detection does not create it. Both cookies are necessary to remember your choices.
Analytics
Google Analytics 4 (G-ME04EMBJ21) measures page views and product interactions after Analytics consent. Google Analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> use a default duration of two years.
Marketing
Google Ads (AW-867310426) and Meta Pixel (475169846991908) measure campaign and download activity after Marketing consent. Their cookies may include _gcl_*, _fbp and _fbc.

Optional tracking may process an IP address, browser and device details, page URL, referral or advertising parameters, page views and interactions such as a Google Play download click. The website does not send production analytics or advertising requests from localhost, development, preview or test environments.

Google processes Analytics and Ads information under the Google Privacy Policy. Meta explains its processing in the Meta Privacy Policy.

Legal bases

The legal basis depends on the Website activity:

  • Your consent supports optional website analytics and marketing. You can withdraw that consent through Cookie settings.
  • Your request supports processing needed to respond when you contact DashCam Travel.
  • Legitimate interests support proportionate website security, service protection and responses to enquiries when those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations apply when information must be retained or disclosed under law.

Retention and deletion

  • The website consent cookie remains for up to 182 days and an explicitly selected language remains for up to 365 days, unless you delete the cookies sooner.
  • Analytics and advertising providers retain information under their linked policies and configured retention controls. Google Analytics cookies such as _ga use a default duration of two years.
  • Browser privacy controls or Cookie settings let you withdraw optional consent and prevent further optional collection from this website.
  • Contact messages remain only as long as needed to answer the request, protect legal rights or meet a legal obligation.

Use the contact address above to request deletion of information controlled by DashCam Travel.

International processing

Google, Meta and other website providers may process information outside your country. Their linked privacy information explains the locations and safeguards they use for international transfers.

Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law and the processing involved, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data, and you may object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time; withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or another competent supervisory authority.

Children, security and external links

DashCam Travel is not directed to anyone under 18. Reasonable technical and organizational measures protect information, but no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. External sites and services operate under their own policies, which you should review before using them.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date. Use the contact address above for privacy questions.

Recordings and trip files stay on your device unless you choose to share or upload them. Connected features send only the information needed to carry out your request or provide diagnostics, analytics, advertising and road information as described below.

Who controls your data

DashCam Travel is operated by Tomáš Válek. Tomáš Válek is the controller for the personal data described in this Android policy unless a listed provider acts as a separate controller under its own terms.

Use the contact address above for privacy questions or requests.

App data and permissions

Depending on the features you enable and your Android version, the app may request access to the camera, microphone, location and device storage. Android lets you review or withdraw these permissions in system settings.

Information kept on your device

  • Photos, videos and audio captured through the app.
  • Location, route and driving data used for maps, recorded tracks, Auto-Start, Auto-Stop, Sport mode and video overlays.
  • App settings and information needed to provide the features you enable.

These recordings and trip files remain on your device unless you choose to share or upload them. DashCam Travel does not receive a local recording merely because you create it.

Information sent when you use a connected feature

If you share a file or enable an upload feature, the app sends the data needed to complete your instruction to the service you selected. Requests for road information may send location coordinates to the Overpass API. Technical requests to DashCam Travel services may include an IP address, request time and information needed to provide or protect the requested feature.

App analytics, diagnostics and advertising

The app uses the following providers. Depending on your settings, region and use of the app, they may process device identifiers, IP addresses, app interactions, advertising information, diagnostic details and crash data.

  • Google Play Services: App distribution, platform services and purchases. See the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google AdMob: Advertising and related measurement. See AdMob privacy information.
  • Firebase Analytics: App usage measurement. See Google Analytics for Firebase privacy information.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: Crash and error diagnostics. See Firebase privacy and security information.
  • Meta services: App analytics and measurement. See the Meta Privacy Policy.
  • Mixpanel: Product analytics. See the Mixpanel Privacy Statement.
  • Overpass API: Road information used by features such as speed-limit lookup. See the Overpass service information.

YouTube API Services

YouTube Auto-Upload uses YouTube API Services. The feature acts after you connect a Google account and choose the upload settings. It may access the authorization and channel information needed to upload videos and may send the selected video, title, description and visibility setting to YouTube on your behalf.

Your use of this feature is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke DashCam Travel's access from your Google security settings.

When authorization is revoked, authorized YouTube API data held by DashCam Travel is deleted as soon as possible and no later than seven calendar days. Deleting app data does not delete videos already stored by YouTube; manage those videos through YouTube.

Legal bases

The legal basis depends on the Android activity:

  • Your consent supports app processing for which the app asks for consent.
  • Your request to use a feature supports processing needed to provide that feature and, where applicable, to perform a contract.
  • Legitimate interests support proportionate app security, error diagnosis, service protection and responses to enquiries when those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations apply when information must be retained or disclosed under law.

Retention and deletion

  • Local recordings, trip files and settings remain until you delete them, clear the app's data or uninstall the app and remove its storage directory.
  • Analytics, advertising and diagnostic providers retain information under their linked policies and configured retention controls. Firebase states that Crashlytics crash traces and associated installation identifiers are retained for 90 days before removal begins.
  • Connected services retain uploaded or requested data under their own policies. Authorized YouTube API data held by DashCam Travel is deleted no later than seven calendar days after authorization is revoked.
  • Contact messages remain only as long as needed to answer the request, protect legal rights or meet a legal obligation.

Use the contact address above to request deletion of information controlled by DashCam Travel.
